We've always know that Personalized Amplification System™ family of products is a mouthful and, while Cylindrical Radiator® speaker is easier, it's still a lot of syllables. “L1”, or “el one” if you like, is easy to say and does not infringe on anyone else’s trademark. In early 2008 Bose registered the trademarks for L1, T1, and ToneMatch. Over time I am changing the designations throughout the site from

  • L1™ to L1®
  • T1™ to T1®
  • ToneMatch™ to ToneMatch®
