Kemper Profiler Player Tips and Tricks

Tips and Tricks specific to the Kemper Profiler Player (not necessarily applicable to the other Kemper Profilers)

  • For brevity, we'll use
KPP I to refer to the Kemper Profiler Player Level I
KPP II refers to the Kemper Profiler Player Level II
KPP III refers to the Kemper Profiler Player Level III

Level III Upgrade

Features

  • 8 individual effect modules: 4x pre / 4x post amplifier and cabinet
  • Parallel Path
  • Looper
  • Multiplied Rig Memory to store 625 Rigs in 125 banks

Settings to Change

Max Banks

In Rig Manager (all versions), go to

  • Settings (left side of the screen)
  • Scroll down to Max Banks
  • If you are using more than 5 banks (now that you have 125), adjust the Max Banks setting so you can access them using the Kemper Profile Player III with the Bank button.
  • Adjust the other Bank related settings as necessary for the way you use your KPP

Wireless Setups

Both of these Sennheiser systems are working for me. Not cheap but works exceptionally well. Both the transmitter and receiver can run off rechargeable battery packs or AA batteries.

Kemper Profiler Player with Sennheiser EW-D/EW-DP

You'll have to purchase the Receiver and Transmitter separately. They come in several UHF frequency ranges. Make sure both units are in the same frequency range (and legal for your country).

Receiver EW-DP EK (Q1-6) Transmitter Wireless all-in-one handset EW-D SK


This works well, too, but shorter range and shorter battery life. These run in the 2.4 GHz range. No country restrictions.

Kemper Profiler Player with Sennheiser XSW-D Instrument Base Set


The receiver and transmitter are sold as a set. Instrument base set XSW-D
